BEAD STEW Kit: “Wine & Avocado Toast”
The very first BEAD STEW Party happened November 2019 at Laurie MacKay’s fabulous home in NW Calgary. It was so much fun, and Laurie and her Gal-Pals all created beautiful “Bangle-icious” bracelets, as you can see for yourself further down on this page.
Laurie MacKay is an accomplished Sommelier and has been a regular wine and craft beer columnist on CBC Radio One since 2006, which, of course, means she’s super-passionate about wine. Laurie’s passion for vino is vividly demonstrated from the quote on her website — Soulvines.com ...

With Laurie’s love of vino, it came as no surprise to me when the BEAD STEW Bracelet Kit that caught her eye was “Wine & Avocado Toast”… How serendipitous, right?!
In addition to Laurie’s immense talents in the wine department, I discovered that she’s also a terrific writer when I received her email describing her BEAD STEW Bracelet-Making Experience:
"All my friends are thrilled with their bracelets. Most of them didn't know each other, so it was fun to watch them “click" over "playing" with beads. I think which bead stew bracelet package you pick, and how you put it together, tells a bit about your personality. Usually I would be methodical and plan my patterns, but on Sunday I threw that approach to the wind and decided to be a free spirit with my "Wine & Avocado Toast" design. I love what I created! Laurie's friend Coral works at a large insurance company, and after creating her gorgeous “Blueberry Snow Cone” bracelet, she said that offering BEAD STEW Parties would be great for social activities they run for their various departments, so I look forward to bringing the Good Creative Fun of bracelet-making to Coral’s company sometime soon!
