JAPANESE-STYLE POINTY CUTTER

“Japanese-Style Cutters” are perfect for detailed work because with their pointy, sharp tips they can get into tight spots. Also, it’s a personal favourite of mine for cutting stainless steel bead stringing wire such as “Soft Flex”, as well as jewelry making wire up to about 20-18 gauge thickness (FYI… The higher the number, the thinner the wire is).

For wire that’s up to 16 gauge in thickness, it’s better to go with a “Side Cutter” and use a “Memory Wire Cutter” for 16+ gauge wire and for the bangle “Memory Wire” that's provided in our BEAD STEW bracelet making kits.
