I first met the owner of "Wood You Believe And More”, Vicky Atkins, a number of years ago when her store was located across the street from my own "bricks ’n' mortar" store in Inglewood, Calgary. For various reasons, and at different times, we both moved our stores out of Inglewood, only to find our shops across from each other, yet again, at the Crossroads Market, years later in 2018… Such a happy twist of fate!

Now that my store is online, it’s so terrific that Vicky’s store is now the Suzie Q Pick-Up Spot for local orders.

So what’s the inspiration behind Vicky’s store “Wood You Believe And More”? In Vicky's own words, this is what she says:

“We started our business as an adventure over 10 years ago. We (Vicky and her husband) were wanting to do something different after raising our four children… So off to Bali we went. We immediately fell in love with the culture, beauty, art and people. We decided to share this experience with our future customers by showcasing hand-picked collections from Bali and all over the world at our Calgary store, as well as online.”

Vicky’s store specializes in unique works of art, teak root furniture, distressed wood furniture, carved statues, garden decor, as well as clothing, accessories, jewellery and all kinds of exotic treasures, and “gifty” items too… Something for every style, occasion and budget.
